"Doing our best today for a brighter future tomorrow"
Beech Hill Primary School is a vibrant and exciting place to work and learn. We strive for excellence in all areas so that our pupils will become positive role models for future generations. At Beech Hill children always come first and meeting their needs is what drives our willingness to go that extra mile so that they get maximum benefit from their education. We follow the National Curriculum but tailor it to suit our children and families and their interests. We have strengths in Spanish, Music and PE as well as English, Maths and Science.
We provide a full extended school day with before school reading and maths clubs, breakfast club and after school reading, maths, cookery and sports clubs. Children in Year 4 learn a musical instrument and Year 5 learn to swim. We hold a Science/Technology Fair in the summer term to share with parents, carers and the community what children have been learning about through the year. Application of skills is a key focus for school and it is a measure of true learning if children can apply skills in a different context. Years 5 and 6 are offered a residential trip each year at a subsidised rate and they visit London and an outdoor education centre on a two year cycle.
We choose a different children's charity each year and have fund raising events throughout the year. This helps children to develop care and empathy for the plight of others and our families are always extremely supportive of our efforts. Our motto "Gratitude is the only attitude" sums up our ethos.
Our Work with parents and carers plays a big part in making our school so successful and popular. Involving families in their children's learning benefits everyone. Our families are proud to be part of the school community from 2 years olds to Year 6.
Our Governing Body is made up of parents, staff, business people, retired people, people from all walks of life with varied experiences. They are committed to supporting and challenging the school leadership to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for all children. We know that you and your children will grow and thrive in the stimulating and happy environment we nurture at Beech Hill but if you should have any worries or questions please ask a member of staff or come to see me.

We advise parents to be aware that children should not be unsupervised on social media sites such as Oovoo, Facebook Messenger, etc, as this can lead to cyber-bullying and disruption in school and must be treated with extreme caution.
